Bob Gillies

Robert Arthur "Bob" Gillies is the current Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney.[1] and a published author.,[2]

He was born 21 October 1951 and educated at the University of Edinburgh.[3] After an earlier career as a Medical Laboratory Technician he was ordained in 1977.[4] curacies at Christ Church, Falkirk and Christ Church, he was a Chaplain at the University of Dundee from 1984 to 1990. After this he was Rector of St Andrews Episcopal Church, St Andrews [5] until 2006 when he became Dean of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane.
